Petra Diamonds remains on track to meet its production guidance of three million carats of diamonds for fiscal year 2014, the miner announced on Monday. The company said given the strong production rate in the fiscal first quarter, it expects to reach its production target for the full-year. In the three months to end of September the group delivered production of 816,735 carats. It comes despite labour unrest at the group's South African mines during the period, which halted output."We are very pleased with the strong production rate with which we have started the 2014 financial year," said Chief Executive Officer, Johan Dippenaar. "Delivering this performance is a testament to the quality and perseverance of Petra's operations management teams."Shares were down 0.34% to 116p at 08:04.RD
