(Sharecast News) - Employee benefits and service provider Personal Group reported "great confidence" in its strategic initiatives on Wednesday, including its socially-distanced insurance benefit sales programme.
The AIM-traded firm, which was holding its annual general meeting, said the introduction of new insurance sales "roadshows", a focus on margin improvement in its 'Let's Connect' operations, and the development of additional service benefits for its 'Hapi' business were among those positive developments.

Chairman Mark Winlow said the company's capability to sell insurance benefits via phone and video conferencing - methods originally developed in response to social distancing restrictions - was a "great new addition" to the business, which it would retain going forward.

"This will help us to acquire, retain and recapture policyholders in the longer term."

Winlow also said the firm had secured "significant" Let's Connect and insurance clients in the first months of 2021.

"Similarly, our success with Sage has continued, with our platform currently delivering in excess of £1m gross annualised recurring revenues," he said.

"It represents an exciting mid-term opportunity."

At 1108 BST, shares in Personal Group Holdings were down 0.25% at 240.4p.
