(Sharecast News) - PayPoint is looking for a new chief executive after Patrick Headon stepped down from the in-store payments company with immediate effect.
Headon took temporary leave in September for medical treatment and was expected to be off for about three months. In November PayPoint reported a decline in first-half profit due to rising costs.
Chairman Nick Wiles, who has overseen the FTSE 250 company in Headon's absence, will continue in an executive role until a new boss is found. The board said it wished Headon the very best for the future.
PayPoint said: "The search for a new chief executive is now under way ... The board would like to thank the executive team and Rachel Kentleton, finance director, in particular, for the leadership they have shown in the business during this period."
