(Sharecast News) - Specialist lender OSB Group reported a rise in its net loan book on Thursday, saying its performance in the nine months to September end was in line with expectations and guidance.
The net loon book increased 1.9% from the end of December 2025 to £26.4bn, with originations up 4% to £3.5bn. Retail deposits were 3% higher at £25bn.
Risk-weighted assets rose 1.6% to £12.7bn, while total assets dipped 0.5% to £30.9bn, which OSB said was in line with liquidity portfolio optimisation. The CET1 ratio declined by 40 basis points to 15.4%.
OSB said its buy-to-let and residential franchises delivered a strong origination performance during the period. Originations in the higher-yielding sub-segments declined slightly compared to the prior period due to macroeconomic uncertainty and elevated mortgage rates.
Chief executive Enrique Alvarez Labiano, who joined the company in September, said: "Today I am pleased that we have reported a resilient nine month 2026 performance, in line with our 2026 guidance, despite an uncertain macroeconomic backdrop and elevated swap rates.
"We continued to write new lending business at sustainable margins in the quarter. At the end of October our net loan book growth was in line with our expectations. In the third quarter, in a competitive deposit market, the blended cost of new retail funds was slightly favourable to our revised expectations."
At 1310 GMT, the shares were up 3.6% at 515.00p.
