Shares in precious metal explorer Orogen Gold sparkled by a quarter after it made a "substantial" find in southern Armenia. The stock jumped 0.03p or 24% to 0.16p at 10:36 in London after Orogen reported the discovery of wide zones of gold mineralisation at its Mutsk gold project and said it was continuing to drill.Chief executive Ed Slowey said: "This new phase of drilling has confirmed our earlier belief that we have made a substantial gold discovery at Mutsk. We believe we have only just begun to test the potential of this discovery and are hopeful of further positive results over the coming weeks."
