Technology group OMG on Wednesday unveiled details of multiple projects it is carrying out for the UK Ministry of Defence's (MOD) Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL). The five projects, which have a total value of close to £0.35m, are being carried out by its defence and security business and include short-term proofs of concept through the Centre for Defence Enterprise and FATS4, through to involvement in a long-term research programme managed for DSTL by an industrial consortium.The group explained that as part of the projects it continued to progress the application of state-of-the-art computer vision applications and metadata-rich media capabilities to solve Defence challenges. OMG Chief, Nick Bolton, said: "We are very pleased to have been selected to work on a number of projects with the UK MOD. It is testament to the strength of our relationship and our technology that we have been chosen for both short and long-term programmes.
