Investment company Octagonal said its Global Investment Strategy UK (GIS) business enjoyed a record quarter of business activity, with 12,000 transactions+ in June.GIS saw an increase in total settled transactions of 50.3% compared with the same quarter last year, with 30,000 transactions.New clients also increased by 120, Octagonal said.The business is a London-headquartered financial services company trading in the Global Markets, using its proprietary online trading platforms and clearing and safe custody systems.Chief executive John Gunn added: "We will remain focused this year on our core activities and cash generation whilst, in the medium to long term, with our increased management, we will look for further organic growth and also growth through acquisition, but only where we see an enhancement to earnings."Shares in Octagonal were down 0.05% to 1.78p on Monday at 14:56.
