Obtala Resources appoints new FD

Obtala Resources has appointed Joseph Philippe Cohen as its new Finance Director. Philippe has more than 30 years of experience in the natural resources and commodities sectors. He worked for 14 years in Commodities and Structured Finance at BNP Paribas and at Vitol.Philippe will be replacing Mike Bretherton who is stepping down from the board in order to pursue other commitments.Chairman, Francesco Scolaro, said: "On behalf of the board, I would like to welcome Philippe to Obtala. Philippe brings a wealth of experience in the natural resource sector and also from his extensive network throughout Africa which will undoubtedly benefit the company as we continue our corporate growth plans."RD
