NWF acquires Cornish fuel distributor

(Sharecast News) - NWF Group has acquired fuel distributor Consols Oils for an undisclosed sum as it looks to grow and consolidate its fuels distribution business.The AIM-listed fuel, food and feed distributor snapped up the Redruth-based outfit in order to expand the geographic coverage of its fuels business within the UK and consolidate businesses adjacent to its existing depot network.By adding the 25m litre per year fuel supplier in West Cornwall to the group, a new area for its fuels business, NWF was continuing on its growth strategy in the South West of England.In other news, recently acquired Midland Fuel Oil Supplies has been integrated into NWF's Kenilworth depot as planned and was said to be "performing well".Looking forward, NWF told investors that current trading was in line with expectations for the full financial year ending 31 May after the completion of its all-important winter trading period.As of 1200 BST, NWF shares had climbed 8.23% to 150.44p.
