(Sharecast News) - Cybersecurity firm NCC Group revealed on Tuesday that chief executive-designate Mike Maddison will join the group earlier than originally expected.

NCC Group stated Maddison, who was previously expected to take over as CEO on 1 August, will now take up the role on 7 July after having received permission to do so from EY, his current employer.

The FTSE 250-listed firm added that Adam Palser will remain as CEO until mid-June and will make himself available to the group in order to support an orderly handover. In the interim period, non-executive chairman Chris Stone will become executive chair.

As of 0810 BST, NCC shares were up 1.82% at 220.45p.
