Melrose Industries completes sale of Harris Waste Management

UK investment company Melrose Industries has completed the sale of Harris Waste Management Group to Avis Industrial Corp.Harris is expected to have achieved unaudited turnover of approximately £30m and an operating profit of approximately £900,000 in 2013.It follows the disposal of Crosby and Acco to a newly incorporated company controlled by affiliates of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co L.P. for a consideration of $1.01bn.Shares rose 0.60% to 302.60p at 15:42 on Friday.RD
