Meggitt wins orders totalling $17.7m

Meggitt's training systems subsidiary has landed a contract worth $17.7m to deliver infantry targets, field armoured targets, target controllers and various other devices to army bases across the US and Europe.The new deliveries take the defence group's total orders with the US Army's Targetry Systems (ATS) programme to $30.5m.ATS is used to procure live-fire training ranges installed at various locations worldwide.Meggitt chief executive Stephen Young said: "We are pleased to deliver state-of-the-art target systems designed to exceed all requirements under the ATSII programme."These awards affirm Meggitt's strong relationship with the US Army for more than 17 years, providing dependable equipment and outstanding customer support."
