MARKET TALK: CDS Widens For BP Partners

1359 GMT [Dow Jones] The cost of credit-fault swaps is rising for Anadarko and TransOcean after CDS levels for BP jumped to an all-time high. BP's CDS was 605BP as of 9:28 a.m. EDT, according to Markit. Anadarko's CDS traded at 706 BP, 20BP wider than Tuesday's close; TransOcean's CDS was 30BP wider at 649. The trend so far today runs opposite to yesterday, when CDS spreads tightened 10BP for APC and 21BP for RIG. ([email protected]) Contact us in New York.
