M&S gets online boss from Tesco

Marks & Spencer has poached Tesco's online boss to head up its e-commerce operations. Laura Wade-Gery is chief executive of Tesco.com and Tesco Direct and the date of her move to Marks & Spencer has not yet been confirmed. Wade-Gery will become executive director, multi-channel e-commerce at Marks & Spencer. This is an area that chief executive Marc Bolland is keen to expand in the UK and internationally. He wants to be the UK's leading multi-channel retailer by 2013-14. Wade-Gery has plenty of experience in this area.
