Low-cost model is crucial, Iberia President says

In the VI Exceltur Tourism Leadership Forum, Iberia president Antonio Vazquez asserted that traditional airlines must use a combination of short and long-haul flights in order to survive but the only way for it to work is using a low cost model. Vazquez asked for the importance of the air transportation sector to be recognised. He said that it should be considered a fundamental factor in the tourism value chain.He also pointed out that it does not make sense that a single European sky is not yet implemented and that there are different security rules in each country.At 11:15am, shares of IAG are down 0.95% to €1.867.S.C.
