(Sharecast News) - Dispute financier Litigation Capital Management announced the appointment of its chief financial officer Mary Gangemi to its board on Monday, with immediate effect.

The AIM-traded firm said Gangemi joined the company in April 2020 as CFO, bringing "extensive" senior management experience from her previous roles overseeing the finance functions of corporations in the UK, Europe and Asia.

She also had "significant" experience in financial services and wealth and asset management, Litigation Capital said.

Gangemi is based in the company's London office, working alongside chief executive Patrick Moloney, who had relocated as part of a planned management restructuring.

That meant Litigation Capital's core executive team was now based in a single European hub.

"Mary will bring new perspective to the board, and her extensive experience will be extremely valuable as we continue to build out the LCM platform and extend both our own balance sheet commitments and our funds management business," said chairman Jonathan Moulds.

At 1136 GMT, shares in Litigation Capital Management were up 0.26% at 98.25p.
