(Sharecast News) - Youth-focussed digital publisher LBG Media announced the resignation of its chief operating officer and director Arian Kalantari on Wednesday, effective immediately.

The AIM-traded firm said Kalantari had been on a sabbatical since the start of the year, and had now decided not to return to his position.

As a result, his operational responsibilities, which had been redistributed among colleagues during his absence, would now be permanently retained by members of the group's leadership team.

"On behalf of the board and everyone at the company, I would like to thank Arian for his support over the years, both in the terms of the vital contribution to the founding of the business and the years of success that have been achieved since," said chief executive officer Solly Solomou.

"It has been a great pleasure to work side by side with my good friend and I wish him all the best and look forward to his continued support as a shareholder."

At 1023 BST, shares in LBG Media were down 2.91% at 80p.
