(ShareCast News) - Property and construction group Kier Group has been retained as the sole contractor on Scape Group's £1.5bn framework.The London-listed company said the Scape National Minor Works scheme covers the whole of Britain and, over the next four years, will deliver projects valued between £50,000 and £4m covering areas such as refurbishment as well as new construction."This agreement provides an ideal opportunity to build on the excellent relationship we have already developed with Scape Group, cementing our role as a leading provider of solutions to the public sector and underlining the strength of our national construction offering," said group chief executive Haydn Mursell.In a note to investors on Friday, analysts at Numis described the deal as a positive for the company and for the industry as a whole."It helps the ongoing growth in the construction division in particular where Kier is materially outperforming the industry," they said."We also see it as a good illustration of the major attributes of the Kier integrated business model so underpins our fundamental positive stance on the group."Kier shares were up 0.21% to 1,458.00p at 0847 BST on Friday.
