Kesa appoints Whitbread boss as non-exec

Consumer electronics retailer Kesa Electricals has appointed Alan Parker, chief executive of hotels and coffee house group Whitbread to its board as a non-executive director.Parker is due to step down from his role at Whitbread in November 2010. He has been chief executive at Whitbread since 2004.Prior to joining Whitbread in 1992 as the managing director of the Whitbread Hotel Company he worked for Bass.Parker will sit on Kesa's Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees, the owner of the Comet and Darty stores said.
