Scientific instruments designer Judges Scientific extended its impressive run after posting record interim results and predicting full-year numbers will be "significantly" ahead of expectations.Sales jumped 69% to £7.6m during the six months ended 30 June, lifting adjusted profit before tax by 73% to £1.47m, of which 18% was down to organic growth.Chairman Alex Hambro said the figures had benefited from their "inherent resilience and from the competitive levels of sterling against other currencies". Acquisitions have also helped. Quorum Technologies has performed strongly since it was bought in 2009 and Sircal Instruments (UK) purchased in March, has traded in line with expectations.The interim dividend almost doubles to 2.5p from 1.3p last time.
