JPMorgan American IT to tap market

JPMorgan American Investment Trust is to place up to 1.8m new shares at a premium to the net asset value of the shares.The trust said that the shares will be issued at a price reflecting the market price provided that such price is not less than a 1.25% premium to the net asset value (including income and valuing debt at fair value) per existing ordinary share at close on Wednesday, October 17th.In the event of excess demand, priority will be given to early expressions of interest from professional investors. Members of the public are not eligible to take part in the placing. JH
