By Hannah Benjamin Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES LONDON (Dow Jones)--Home shopping retailer N. Brown Group PLC (BWNG.LN) Tuesday said it plans to sell more of its brands in the U.S. if the imminent launch of its Simply Be range is a success. "This is our first foray over there and I think there's a gap in the market for a fashionable plus-size catalog in the U.S.," Chief Executive Alan White told Dow Jones Newswires Tuesday. He said next week's launch of a U.S. website and catalog for Simply Be, N. Brown's fashionable clothing brand for plus-size 30-something women, gives the company an opportunity to take more of its brands to the U.S. "Jacamo is the men's equivalent brand, so it could be an option to launch that in the U.S. too, but we're also keen to extend the range of products we push out of Simply Be," White said. He said the U.S. plus-size clothing market is worth $35 billion. "It's a huge market to go at," White said. -By Hannah Benjamin, Dow Jones Newswires; 44-20-7842-9298; [email protected] (END) Dow Jones Newswires July 06, 2010 04:16 ET (08:16 GMT)
