Telecom group Sure has partnered up with newly-listed Intelligent Energy to launch its alternative power source Upp in retail stores.The device, which is expected to allow users to charge electronics whilst on the go, has been released across the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man for around £149.The portable gadget is compatible with speakers, e-readers, portable gaming devices and digital cameras using hydrogen and air. The application can be downloaded from the Apple app store or from Google Play for Androids. Head of Mobile Mike Fawkner Corbett said: "In this fast changing mobile technology landscape, fuel cells present the latest in clean, portable energy solutions to powering mobile devices off-grid and provide a much longer operating life than a conventional battery."As of 13:35 the share price had dropped 2.5% to 280.25p.WS
