Iberia hit by further strikes, flights cancelled

Iberia, the Spanish airline operated by International Airlines Group (IAG), cancelled 108 flights that were scheduled for Friday due to the strike called by STAVLA, a cabin crew trade union. STAVLA went ahead with strikes although the SEPLA pilot union called off its own after the Spanish government chose an arbitrator to settle conflicts.STAVLA members have decided to resume strikes in order to protest against the recent creation of low-cost airline Iberia Express.London-listed shares of IAG were trading 0.62% lower at 177.7p by 14:20.MG
