Iberia Express flies one million passengers in first five months

Iberia Express, the controversial airline created by Iberia, the Spanish airline operated by International Airlines Group (IAG), has already passed the one million-passenger mark within its first five months of take-off.The creation of the new low-cost airline was behind several labour strikes at the Spanish company, especially by Sepla, the labour trade union representing Iberia's 1,600 pilots.The low cost airline has a fleet of 11 airplanes and operates 17 routes, 12 national and five European routes. It has flown 7,000 flights so far.By 15:07 in London, shares were down 0.67% at 148.7p.SC
