Spanish airline Iberia, operated by International Consolidated Airlines Group (otherwise known as IAG), has cancelled 433 flights in preparations for a second round of strikes organised by labour unions. The strikes will span over five days.Meanwhile, management and labour unions have agreed to mediation proceedings in order to reach common ground over the airline's restructuring plan. Gregorio Tudela, a private law professor for the University of Madrid, has been designated the mediator by the Spanish Government. Tudela has met with labour unions UGT and Comisiones Obreras on Monday after meeting with pilot union Sepla on Saturday.Tudela will continue making the rounds this week before coming up with a proposal.SC
