British Airways and Iberia owner International Airlines Group (IAG) on Wednesday reported a 7.3% year-on-year jump in its May passenger numbers. In the same month, group capacity in available seat kilometres had risen 8% year-on-year, while group premium traffic was up by 9.7% over the same period. The figures came as the group revealed plans to add services to several of those run by Iberia. From June, Iberia will add summer services from Madrid to Chicago, increasing to 10 weekly services from seven, as well as boosting its year-round service to Panama from five per week to seven from July.
