GB technology used in Serco/Microsoft online offering

Identity management specialist GB Group has teamed up with UK outsourcing firm Serco and US software mammoth Microsoft to develop an identity management solution aimed at providing citizens with secure access to local authority information and entitlements. Serco has announced today that the first application of the solution has been implemented at the London borough of Enfield. This is believed to be the first such application in government but GB believes it has significant potential as the government switches more information services online. Serco said the new offering provides a single and secure 'platform' for all on-line services and eliminates the inconvenience and inefficiencies of traditional practices for verifying user identity.
