Oilfield services firm Wood Group has been awarded a five-year gas turbine Term Maintenance Agreement by Stadtwerke München (SWM).SWM, Germany's largest municipal company supplying gas and electricity to more than one million customers in the Munich area, has tasked Wood Group with the maintenance of two General Electric Frame 9E gas turbines.Wood Group will also provide local contract management support from the Wood Group GTS facility in Germany, field service, parts repair and supply of new capital and consumable parts for planned and unplanned maintenance outages. The new capital parts to be supplied will include Wood Group GTS-manufactured APM parts."Wood Group GTS is a technically experienced service provider with a local German presence. Our long term relationship with Wood Group GTS and their responsiveness to support our major inspection this year led to this contract award," said Thomas Gilg, power plant manager at SWM.
