(ShareCast News) - London's FTSE 250 fell 0.52% by late afternoon to 17,693 after US non-farm payrolls rose less than expected and some corporate results disappointed. The data showed US employers added 215,000 jobs, missing the consensus forecast of 225,000.In London, William Hill shares posted the largest decline, down 8% at 377.8p. The shares have taken a hammering after the company reported at 35% fall in pre-tax profit to £78.7m and flat net revenue for the six months to 1 July as it battled through a period of major regulatory and taxation disruption. Several analysts, including Nomura, remained optimistic.Other major fallers included Evraz down 6% to 94.40p despite a strong write-up by Moody's, NMC Health, 3.6% to 857.50p and Brown (N.) Group, 3.27% to 310.90p.Among the risers, Wizz Air rose 3.69% to 1,825.5p. The shares continue to benefit from strong passenger data on Tuesday showing numbers for July up 20% year on year.Miners were up as commodity as investors took heart that commodity prices looked to have stabilised.Petrofac rose 3.28% to 881.5p, Vedanta Resources 3.09% to 426.8, Premier Oil 2.92% to 123.2 and Tullow Oil 2.36% to 229.6p.
