Shares in McBride, which supplies items such as deodorant and bleach for supermarkets to sell under their own labels, have jumped after it said revenues in the period between 1 July and 25 October rose by 7% from the same period the previous year as shoppers continued looking for higher value.Shares in Davis Service Group have continued edging higher after the laundry and workwear firm said on Friday that trading has continued broadly in line with the trends seen in the first half of the year, with revenue modestly ahead of the nine months period in 2008 and profits maintained at a similar level.Pub landlords Punch Taverns and Enterprise Inns received a big boost last week when the Office of Fair Trading decided not to investigate the so called 'beer-tie' which forces tenants to buy their beer from the landlords, but both stocks slip back slightly today.
