Graphics chip technology developer Imagination Technologies saw its shares soar nearly 10% in London after the US tech giant Apple's quarterly profits doubled. Apple, which uses Imagination's technology in its iPhone, said its iPhones sales' had quadrupled in Asia.The news lifted other chip makers, including ARM Holdings. In contrast, emerging markets lender International Personal Finance has warned that the problems of established markets may spill over into the markets in which it does business. IPF was the biggest faller on the mid cap stock index. Meanwhile, shares of British software maker Misys jumped 9% as the company is nearing a merger deal with Fidelity National Information Services, a Bloomberg article said, citing people with direct knowledge with the deal.
