Snow-related updates are still coming in with December's bad weather clipping department store Debenhams' sales growth by 2.5%-3%, though underlying sales still picked up slightly thanks to strong online growth and market share gains. Group gross transaction value for the 19 weeks to 8 January increased by 4.2%, while like-for-like sales up by 0.3% including VAT, though they fell 1.3% excluding tax. Online grocer Ocado is lower despite reporting that gross sales in the final quarter of 2010 increased 27.4% as it delivered nearly all its orders despite treacherous weather conditions.The group, whose main customer is Waitrose, said fourth quarter sales increased to £178.9m from £140.5m in the same period a year before. In the Christmas week gross sales increased 43.5% to £12.3m compared to the same key week in 2009.De La Rue shares are falling after it was reported that French banknote printer Oberthur has been given until 5pm on 7 February to make a bid for the UK group or walk away. The company last month made an indicative all-cash proposal of 905p-a-share for De La Rue, which was roundly rejected as it "in no way reflects the fundamental value of the company".Energy services group Hunting leads the risers on the FTSE 250 Monday, with shares 5% higher in the late afternoon.
