FTSE 250 movers: Croda numbers impress market

Croda's strong numbers have sparked a strong positive reaction. Record results at its two main divisions helped the speciality chemicals supplier double half year pre-tax profit, with strong trading trickling into the first weeks of the second half.Engineer Tomkins has motored ahead after its board backed the 325p per share cash offer from Onex and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.Software group Misys is also in demand after saying it has reduced the number of shares it will sell in the proposed disposal of its healthcare division Allscripts.The top riser in the FTSE 250 is Connaught, which rallies partially after sliding yesterday as it warned of more woe following the emergency Budget, which will hurt the company severely.Today's heaviest faller is e-learning specialist Promethean World.
