FTSE 250 movers: Berkeley surges after full-year results

London and south-east house builder Berkeley Group reported forecast-beating figures on Friday, on both the sales and the profit level, helping shares 9% higher. As a result, Panmure Gordon raised its target price by a fifth from 911p to 1,100p. Imagination Technologies, which makes graphics technology used in chips for computers and mobile phones, is the second highest riser, recovering after a recent sell-off following the group's full-year results released on Wednesday. Yesterday, Peel Hunt upgraded the firm from a 'sell' rating to 'hold' and raised the price target from 390p to 413p, saying that the downside risks look limited.Gold miner African Barrick Gold is edging upwards after reporting further success with its in-fill drilling at its Tusker resource area at the Nyanzaga project in Tanzania. The owner of Argos, Home Retail Group, is among the worst performers after buying struggling designer brand Habitat for £24.5m. The deal includes Habitat's brand designs and intellectual property in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Home Retail Group is also acquiring the Habitat UK website and three of the company's London stores. Go-Ahead Group, the transport firm, is trading higher after yesterday's trading statement revealed a bullish mood as the company expects to post profits ahead of expectations.
