Supermarket J Sainsbury fell on Tuesday after Kantar Worldpanel released a report revealing the group's sales fell 1.8% in the 12 weeks to 7 December while its market share fell. The Big Four grocers continue to be overshadowed by exceptionally strong growth from the discount end of the market, namely Lidl and Aldi. Department store group M&S was also lower. Shares of bottling firm Coca-Cola HBC plummeted after it was revealed on Monday that earnings growth at Coca-Cola fell short of targets in 2014 and that the company anticipates similarly disappointing results in 2015. Kathy Waller, Coca-Cola's chief financial officer, said that the beverage maker is moving swiftly to follow through on its turnaround strategy, but noted the changes "will take time to materialize".Meanwhile, Capita led the risers with its stock rebounding strongly after closing at a 10-month low the previous session. Liberum kept its 'hold' rating on the outsourcing group on Tuesday.Intertek's share price jumped as the provider of quality and safety services announced the launch of its Class P programme for LED lighting drivers. Intertek is the first to launch the programme, which will allow manufacturers to certify products quickly and simply.Rio Tinto also rose after Macquaire restated an 'outperform' rating on shares on Tuesday.
