Cruise ship operator Carnival, the world's largest, took a hit after it issued a brutal profit warning overnight for its full-year earnings per share, primarily as a result of lower net revenue yield expectations due to its current cruise ticket pricing. RBS was retreating one day after Numis raised its target price on the stock from 308p to 410p, upgrading it to buy. Intertek Group continued to sink after Jefferies reduced its target price from 2,900p to 2,800p, keeping an underperform rating. Meanwhile, Polymetal was given a boost after Canaccord Genuity reiterated its 'buy' rating on the stock. The stock leapt over 10% by late afternoon. Outsourcing giant Capita was a high riser after it announced it has been selected by O2 as their preferred bidder to form a 10-year strategic partnership for customer management services. Brand elevation has continued at Burberry, according to Nomura, which has upped its target price for the luxury stock after its full-year results came in above forecasts. The company reported earnings per share of 70p (+14%) in the year to March 31st with a product mix, inventory management, foreign exchange and modest price increases leading to better-than-expected margins.
