Flow test underway on Rockhopper's Sea Lion well

Rockhopper Exploration, the North Falkland Basin oil and gas exploration company, said the Ocean Guardian drilling rig has arrived at the location of the Sea Lion 14/10-2 discovery well.Operations to carry out a flow test on the Sea Lion main and lower fans are now underway and, subject to reasonable weather conditions, the company expects operations will be completed in about 30 days. The company will be hoping for better luck on this well than it had on the Ernest 26/6-1 exploration well, where it drew a blank last month.Sam Moody, managing director of Rockhopper, stressed at the time of the Ernest well result that the Ernest well was "an entirely different geological play type from Sea Lion."
