Firstsource In Talks To Buy Barclaycard's Customer Service Center - Report

MUMBAI (Dow Jones)--India's Firstsource Solutions Ltd. (532809.BY) is in talks with Barclaycard--part of Barclays PLC's (BARC.LN) global and retail banking division--to buy its customer service center at Teesside in the U.K., the Economic Times newspaper reported Friday. If Firstsource strikes a deal, it will take over the assets of the center--including employees--and deliver customer care for the U.K. bank's credit card and payments business, the newspaper said, citing a statement by the bank to its staff union. Spokesperson at the Indian company declined to comment saying the deal wasn't yet final, the newspaper added.
