(Sharecast News) - Transport services FirstGroup made a series of changes to its boardroom on Thursday, appointing a new CFO and non-executive director.FirstGroup named former Taylor Wimpey finance director Ryan Mangold as its new chief financial officer, taking over from Matthew Gregory who was elevated to chief executive back in 2018.Gregory said: "Ryan is a business transformation leader who brings a wealth of experience from other sectors and a strong track record of executing complex corporate changes to enhance shareholder value."I am confident Ryan will make a major contribution as we continue to drive forward our plans to unlock greater value from our portfolio of market-leading businesses."Elsewhere, The FTSE 250-listed outfit appointed Julia Steyn, a former General Motors executive, as an independent non-executive director from 2 May."Julia's corporate development expertise and experience at the forefront of the emerging mobility-as-a-service sector will be of immense value to the Group as our services continue to evolve to provide greater ease and convenience for our customers," said chairman Wolfhart Hauser.Lastly, FirstGroup revealed that senior independent director Drummond Hall will step down from the board on 31 May. Hall will be succeeded by audit committee chair David Robbie.As of 0915 BST, FirstGroup shares had ticked up 0.18% to 109.90p.
