North Sea oil and gas explorer and producer EnQuest is one of the best performers in the FTSE 250 index on the back of buying by non-executive director Alexandre Schneiter. EnQuest was demerged from oil services provider Petrofac on 6 April. Petrofac stayed in the FTSE 100 index but EnQuest fell out. At the time of the demerger Lundin Petroleum injected its North Sea operations into the company and that is how Schneiter came on board. Schneiter has acquired 117,417 shares at 99p each at a total cost of £1116,243. This is Schneiter's second purchase since the demerger. He bought an initial 136,212 shares at 109.35p each on the day of the demerger. He has invested a total of £265,000 in less than three weeks. The share price has fallen back since EnQuest left the FTSE 100 index.
