Eckoh eyes strong second half

Speech recognition specialist Eckoh said trading for the first half of its financial year will be in line with market forecasts and anticipates an even stronger performance in the second half. "This performance has been primarily generated by the development of services for new clients won in the second half of the 2010/11 financial year such as Addison Lee, Premier Inn and Lead the Good Life, as well as additional services to existing clients," the group said in a company update. Interim results, which are due to be announced in November, are expected to indicate a further period of double digit revenue and margin growth in comparison to the equivalent period, Eckoh said. The operational gearing in the business will see this growth add to a significant increase in profits. "This strong performance coupled with a highly active pipeline of sales opportunities and a healthy balance sheet gives the board every reason to be confident about the future prospects," it said.---CJ
