easyJet's passenger numbers rise during Christmas period

easyJet carried 3.5 per cent more passengers in December 2013 compared to a year earlier, the budget airline revealed on Tuesday.The European carrier had 4.49m passengers on board its aircraft last month, up from 4.33m in December 2012. The load factor, which compares the numbers of passengers to the number of seats available, was unchanged at 87.9%.On a rolling 12-month basis, there were 61.33m passengers in December, up 3.6% from 2012's 59.2m. The load factor rose 0.4 percentage points to 89.3%.RD
