easyJet reported rising passenger numbers and an increased load factor for August.Passenger numbers increased 3.9% to 6,101,344 from a year ago. Load factor, or passengers per available seats, rose 1.1 percentage point to 92.8%, the budget airline said in a statement.easyJet posted its improved figures a day after rival Ryanair warned that it might not hit its profit forecast for the year because of falling ticket prices and yields. It blamed price cuts by competitors and economic gloom in Europe for its warning.easyJet shares fell on the day of Ryanair's statement as investors worried that the rest of the industry would suffer.Ryanair said August was a normal month and that its weakness applied to sales from September onwards.
