Airline easyJet flew 9.3% more passengers in December than the same month a year before. Passenger numbers increased to just under 3.4m from 3.1m in December 2008 and easyJet said the load factor, which measures how well planes are filled, increased to 85.4% from 82.3%.Over the past twelve months the airline has flown 46.1m passengers, up 3.4% from the corresponding period. The load factor improved by 1.4 percentage points to 86.0%. In November the group said full-year pre-tax profit halved due to higher fuel costs. For the year ended 30 September 2009 profit slumped to £54.7m from 110.2m the year before. Total revenue during the period increased 12.9% to £2.7bn.
