easyJet execs sell shares after exercising bonus awards

easyJet, the budget airline which has seen a huge jump in its share price in 2013, saw both its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) sell shares in the company after exercising options as part of the company's long-term incentive plan (LTIP).Carolyn Mccall, CEO, exercised 199,625 LTIP share options and subsequently sold 94,059 of them at a price of 1,408.24p, earning herself a total of £1.32m. Mccall, who joined the firm in 2010, was left with a holding of 206,493, equal to a 0.052% stake in the company.Chris Kennedy, CFO, exercised 78,731 LTIP options and sold 37,097 at the same price for a total of £0.52m. His stake after the transaction totalled 99,735 shares.This comes just a month after the company reported a record profit before tax of £478m for the year ended September 30th, up 51% on the year before.It was also reported this week that McCall's annual pay including salary, benefits, bonuses and shares jumped 74% this year to £6.4m, the majority of which is in stock that will vest next year under the easyJet LTIP.
