easyJet August passenger numbers soar 5.6%

(Sharecast News) - Low-cost carrier easyJet on Thursday reported a 5.6% year-on-year rise in passenger numbers for August to 8.6m.Load factor was flat at 96.4. Rolling passenger numbers for the year to August rose 5.8% to 84.1m with load factor for the same period was up 1.2 percentage points to 93.6%.The airline said the numbers did not include operations at Germany's Tegel airport.
