Lance Batchelor, a non-executive director at Domino's Pizza for the past six months, has been appointed deputy chief executive on a full-time basis and now appears almost certainly the successor to current chief Chris Moore."As a growing FTSE250 Company, we take our succession planning very seriously and, while Chris is remaining as chief executive until at least 2012, Lance's appointment will help to facilitate an orderly handover from Chris when the time is right," chairman Stephen Hemsley said.Batchelor is currently chief executive of Tesco's Telecoms arm, but resigned this job earlier in the week and will leave the supermarket group at the end of February. Batchelor will start his new job at Domino's on 27 June. The appointment is likely to lead to more speculation over the future of Chris Moore, who has overseen a surge in Domino's value since he took over in 2007.
