Director dealings: JD Sports chairman lowers stake

(Sharecast News) - JD Sports revealed on Monday that chairman Peter Cowgill had disposed of 2.58m ordinary shares in the FTSE 100-listed sportswear retailer.
Cowgill, who took over as chairman back in 2004, sold the shares on Friday at an average price of 745.62p each, for a total value of £19.29m.

Back in September, JD Sports Fashion forecast annual pre-tax profits of at least £265.0m as it scrapped an interim dividend and reported a slump in half-year earnings from £129.9m to £41.5m due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As of 1635 GMT, JD Sports were down 6.61% at 692.20p.
