Director dealings: Globe Invest picks up large Best of the Best holding

(Sharecast News) - Best of the Best was in focus in terms of director dealings on Friday, as a large number of shares were sold to Globe Invest after the latter decided to purchase a "strategic stake" on Thursday under a letter of intent.

The competition operator said William Hindmarch sold 1,689,970 shares for 400p each, netting a total of £6,759,880.00.

Following the transaction, the chief executive officer now had a beneficial interest in 992,331 shares, representing 11.9% of its issued share capital.

Rupert Garton, meanwhile, sold 477,822 shares for 400p apiece, valuing the sale at £1,911,288.00.

As a result, the commercial director now had a beneficial interest in 280,571 shares, representing 3.4% of its issued share capital.

Finally, former chairman Michael Hindmarch sold 333,948 shares at 400p each, leaving him with a beneficial interest in 206,657 shares, or 2.47% of the issued capital of the company.

Best of the Best said Globe Invest acquired 2,501,740 shares at a price of 400p, representing 29.9% of its issued share capital.

At 1201 BST, shares in Best of the Best were down 1.74% at 432.33p.
